 A carpet layer was all most finished with the last room as he noticed a lump in the carpet. Noticing his cigarettes missing from his pocket he took his mallet and flattened out the lump!
As he was getting in his truck to leave and saw his cigarettes on the seat he heard someone in the house yelling: "Has anyone seen the parakeet????"

Supposedly a true story from Readers Digest, 1960"s!
