I've known women who've hit that 'pause' way before their fifties. Or perhaps it was just that we did't connect. Or ... perhaps it was just me. Who knows? Hello Joy! I can't remember my wife going through that been awhile back. I do know the ladies I have been with that are over 65 and they all seem to love to have sex a nd a lot of it wow. My G/F i have now seems to want sex all the time. Nothing wrong with that at all lol! Butch

Sounds like you were super lucky! Wifey never had the luxury(?) of menopause. Her insides had to be taken out back and shot at an early age due to an extremely adverse reaction to poorly tested medicine. She had hormone pills until just a couple of years ago when we moved to Germany. Now ... I'm thinking the hormones were much needed. Even in her mid 60s. She's not the same since they stopped. But having moved back to the US, her doctors refuse to restart her on them. So now I'm going over their heads to "herbal" supplements. (I say herbal, but raw bovine tissue seems to be one of the best sources.) Hopefully it brings some of her old self back. Even an herb as sweet as basil is nothing without its bite. Lord Basil

When my wife went thru menopause it ended all sex with her forever. She never have a desire or willing again.

I'm one of those "uncommon cases" in young women who've started perimenopause while in their late 30s. I've always had an erratic cycle, and it got worse every year that I got older. I won't go into detail, but when a lady has to resort to popping Advil like they're M & M's during the time Auntie Flo visits, you know something is very off. My doctors put me on a hormone regulator pill to help straighten that out. My cycles started to regulate somewhat, but one of the side effects I had was severe mood swings. I was "Flip a switch, Insta-Bitch", and that's putting it mildly. Most of these episodes I don't recall, were it not for close friends and family...  Long story short, I opted for a hysterectomy at age 42. I still say it was the best decision I made. My doctors cautioned me that it might throw me into menopause earlier than normal, though if I have (or am) experiencing it at this age, it's relatively mild. I'll get a hot flash maybe tow to three months, but I haven't had those dripping night sweats most women experience. Mood swings still happen, though not anywhere as severe. They're as normal as can be not only due to my age, but because I'm just a bitch anyway.    "Be who you are and say what you feel. She's well past menopause, but I was called upon to put out a fire just yesterday actually. I LIKE the men my age (and even younger) pass on these ladies - more for me that way.
