>>>>>Fate, luck or destiny? Do you believe we are blessed (or doomed) t.o live our life as pre-ordained, or is it serendipitous, or both?>>>>
I don't really think out life id pre-ordained,, I do really believe that each of us has a lot of input into the life as we live, How and what will determine the lifestyle and comfort of it. As we make bad choices it does come back to us ..

Definitely. But that could result in a worse outcome.

All the above! Of course, if I had chosen different paths, I wouldn't have my kids or grandchildren, and I wouldn't want to change that.

I would make changes but I'm afraid that the changes would wipe from my mind the reasons that I made the changes resulting in making similar wrong choices.

Please don't let me be misunderstood.

Well... This is a very interesting question... For me, I can say that I am so happy that I was crazy enough to approach any crush I had... I think that is perhaps amongst the greatest regrets one could have... Yeah, careers and other stuff... but I think the crush thing is very significant... The heart wanting what it wants, after all... I'm not shore I get taken by all that many women but when I do... It is kind of intense for me... Am I scared.?. Hell yeah... Does that stop me... Nope... Did I make a fool out of myself... Probably... but not really...

For me, I know the crush thing is significant because I once saw someone in a Lowes (like 15 years ago)... She was buying paint and had to have a significant other but I regret not talking to her, to this very day... It is better to get embarrassed or eviscerated than to not try...

There is a song I like where he says: "My life had its ups and downs but I don't regret nothin."

We had dated for almost three years, we had been married about 31 days!
This was May of 69, I had extended my Army tour a little over a year to get computer training, something more useful in civilian life than Nuclear missile
maintenance...lol! The reenlistment bonus and promotion made it possible for us to get married.
On our wedding night she started talking about a completely different plans than what we had discussed for 3 years????
We left for Ft Monmouth NJ with just enough time to make if we drove strait thru! We stopped in Jackson TN. to get gas, it was about 9pm, there was a hamburger stand next to the gas station, we pulled up to the window! She was right there listening to the order, hamburger, cheese with mustard, fry's, same thing mayonnaise NO mustard. Hit the road, she got my food so I could drive, she opened hers, mustard and mayonnaise, she screamed, yelled cussed ME and the waitress, said I ordered the wrong, thing and tossed the whole plate out the window......
So, extra stop, wasted time and money, the exit in Nashville said Food, Fuel and Bus Station! As we drove past the big grey dog my gut said put her on the bus fool!
To this day my favorite song: "Thank God and Greyhound She's Gone!"
    should of done it...LOL!
Took me 30 yeas correct the mistake, my son calls her his EX Mother!

If I could turn back time.....I'd tell Cher to stop singing that damn song so I could get it out of my head.
