Current conditions as well as having a shitload of extra shooting gear has me evaluating what I've got that can be turned into cash. One item's value shocked the shit out of me and I decided to share. As with most shooters, I a supply of ammunition of various kinds on my shelf. Recently, I saw some of the one type I sell for a fairly outrageous sum, which caused me investigate market value. The ammo in question is what the military refers as Mk262. 's made by Black Hills Ammunition and is some of the most accurate ammo of its particular caliber. It's also been unobtanium through normal channels since the pandemic began. I bought two boxes of 0 rounds for just under $60 each at the end of 2019, shooting one and holding on the other. A box of the exact stuff just sold for $505 on a gun auction site, yesterday! I just about fell off my chair!
So, $5 per trigger pull. 's more expensive ammunition out ; the stuff for hunting water buffalo is $20 each. But garden variety combat ammo isn't anywhere near what this stuff's going for. Needless say, I'll be putting this sucker up for sale this week!

Picture below, so you can say you've seen a $500 box of ammo.

VAERS And The Anti-Vaxxers

Apparently, I can't seem not at the train wreck that is the anti vax / anti mandate movement. As a result, this morning, I read yet another mass of right wing extremist bullshit from another blogger. His entries are more than copy paste from one right wing outlet or another, along with his own regurgitation of other talking points. Lots of exclamation points as well. In any case, one item that these dip shits keep using support their idiotic claims is VAERS data. Because I don't feel like summarizing, below is a blurb from the VAERS website.

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is a national early warning system detect possible safety problems in U.S. licensed vaccines. VAERS is co-managed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of adverse events (possible side effects) following vaccination.

The VAERS data includes information such as vaccine type, manufacturer, adverse reaction observed a vaccine, and whether the patient died. And seems that most of the propaganda includes cries of " at the data!! See how many people died as a result of getting a Covid vaccine!" The claim the aforementioned blogger copy pasted almost ten thousand people died from getting a Covid shot and scores more had significant adverse reactions. If you've read my blog before, you know what I did; I downloaded all six hundred megabytes of this year's data and went through .

At first glance, the data does appear be quite damning, with over seven thousand five hundred deaths reported as a result of receiving a Covid vaccine. Of the 600k+ reported issues, over 97% resulted from one of the Covid vaccines.

However, if you dive a bit deeper into the data, which includes a description field for each report, it becomes a bit questionable. For example, fourteen of those deaths were due to gunshot wound! While I'm not a doctor, I'd say getting shot, or shooting yourself, isn't a potential side effect of any vaccine. I found more than one instance where someone received the vaccine after contracting Covid, then died. Yeah, pretty sure it the Covid that killed them and not the vaccine. As for the others, most of what I read indicated comorbidity and other circumstances that would either preclude the death being a result of the vaccine or not be able to exclude other factors. The average age of those died seventy four, which should give you an indication of the landscape.

Many of the reportable conditions I found suffered by those didn't die weren't exactly horrific. Things like headaches were the most common. were a I read where they seemed be okay until a week or more after being vaccinated, then began suffer something completely unrelated, like carpal tunnel syndrome.

But can you ignore the sheer of reported issues with the Covid vaccines? In a word, yes. Because what I haven't shared is that anyone can make a report the VAERS system. Yes, some reports come from medical professionals, but literally anyone else can complete the input form and their issue, real or not, included in the database. Indeed, the majority of the records I looked at either had a first person narrative of symptoms or the narrative one or two words. Surely, I'm not suggesting that the anti vax crowd loading the database up with as many false claims as they could? Yeah, I'm suggesting that. In fact, anyone thinks otherwise is more than a naive. Consider this as a sanity ; how many of you were aware VAERS even existed until recently? Clearly one or more entities has been exhorting their fellow anti vaxxers upload reports .

If you a further indication as how patently unreliable and indefensible this data is, consider that not even the traditional right wing outlets, like Fox, OAN, and Newsmax mentioned in several months. Even they know 's garbage and would get rightfully blasted for basing any conclusions on .

The CDC has said they do their best remove patently false or fraudulent records, but the fourteen people with gun shot wounds speaks volumes about their success.

In conclusion, you may see references this blog elsewhere, because I plan on making fun of anyone continues use the VAERS data substantiate anything beyond how easy is sway even a government run database support your own stupid ideals.

A quick addendum, because I thought this worth sharing. I had the data file open, trying decide whether save my analysis, when I happened on another data skewing trend. Almost 2,000 incidents listed "none" as the symptoms. Sure, that data should be used as a basis for arguing how unsafe the vaccines are.

While I'm sure 's copious fodder remaining support further editions of my Old Man Ranting series, I've decided start another one. Today In Right Wing Media will tackle the hard hitting news promulgated that day by such fine outlets OAN, Newsmax, and Conservative Daily, which doesn't really post anything daily at all. More like Conservative Whenever We Feel Like It. Being completely transparent, that's about how frequently I'll post in the series. Wasn't my blog much more interesting when I was regularly getting laid?

Being a thorough person, my intent is read the articles that are posted. However, in an indication of the right wing crazies' reading skill, many of the stories are video . I reserve the right not sit through five minutes of stupidity and commentary solely for the fifteen seconds of what they consider a salient fact. I'm neither a masochist nor desiring any of the crazy rub off on me!

It's one of these video stories that struck me this morning. The title is Attorney McBride: Treatment Of Jan. 6 Protesters Is Historic Hypocrisy. 's a that indicates the hypocrisy in question is relative the treatment of BLM protesters. Fleshing out, seems the attorney representing a few of the January 6th insurrectionists is calling out how his are being treated more harshly than those arrested during Black Lives Matter protests.

My take on this: Of fucking course they're being treated more harshly. They tried to overthrow the fucking government, you disingenuous fuck!!! Furthermore, they continued to plan additional seditious actions right up to when they were arrested. If their treatment was commensurate with their actions, they'd be dead, having been mowed down the second they breached the doors of the Capitol. Do not claim equivalence or I'll sign you up for some gay porn newsletter, asshole.

Thanks for tuning in to Today in Right Wing Media.

p.s. - Feel free to send me links to made up right wing stories that you'd like to see me defecate upon. Either pm or my sticky post.

Bond...Chad Bond

The latest James Bond film finally being released has, as expected, brought with it the various pundits and their perpetual complaints of how Bond is a misogynist and a symbol of wealthy, white male privilege. On the former, they point to instances such as Connery's Bond shooing a woman away, by slapping her bum and saying 'man talk'. , this happened in a movie released before I was born, so it's really fucking old. If I cared enough to look, I'm willing to bet I could find a dozen equivocal vignettes in other contemporary films. His boss is a woman, who he treats with respect, even if he breaks into her house occasionally. The critics also point to how Bond would remove (several different) women's clothing, acting in an almost predatory or coercive manner, and have sex with them. As Bond's promiscuity, that's been gone for decades. They decided to have only one sexual partner in a film back when Pierce Brosnan played Bond. The predation argument is bullshit, as well. Bond oozed charisma and danger, such that women wanted to sleep with him. In many instances, there was an imminent threat of death to both parties; might as well fuck. Not to mention it's not as though he walked up to women on the street and disrobed them.

On to the potentially touchy topic of wealthy white male privilege. Actually, there's not much to say about this beyond, have you looked around at who's running things? In the western world, it's wealthy white males. The first two people on private flights to space were wealthy white males. To be clear, I'm very much in favor of giving more work to talented non white male actors. However, I'm not in favor of modifying the foundation of an icon to do so. I read the new 007 is an African American woman. (the movie is set five years after Bond retires) Great that new talent is getting cast in important roles, and women are being portrayed as strong characters, but you can't pretend the franchise won't radically change with it.

Amazon has announced plans to buy MGM, who owns the Bond franchise. There have already been suggestions to the effect that new business daddy may want to improve the profitability of the franchise by expanding it beyond standalone Bond films. My fear is that Amazon will do to Bond what Disney did to another iconic film empire, Star Wars. Perhaps I'm old and grumpy, but there have been so many ancillary Star Wars vehicles launched, that I've stopped paying attention. The last Star Wars movie was crap, so why would I think the raft of new shit would be different? At least I think it was the last movie, because who cares, it was crap? The movie about Lando was also lukewarm on a good day, only not being crap because I had low expectations going in. Anyway, that was the last bit of the franchise that I consumed and have no plans to change that. Fuckers.

As for Amazon, they've already pissed me off mightily with their movie, Tom Clancy's Without Remorse. Of course, Tom Clancy had nothing to do with it because he's been dead for eight years. Those who are Clancy fans likely recall his book, Without Remorse, which is the origin story of John Clark, a recurring CIA operative character, in Clancy's original works. It was brutal, gritty, and full of very ugly deeds. The movie is ostensibly the same, yet has a completely different plotline. Being old and grumpy, my position on that is WTF?? While they were fucking it up, Amazon sugar coated the whole damned thing. Without Remorse was not a feel good book!!! A Tom Clancy work, titled Without Remorse, already exists. You can't choose the same title and make it something completely fucking different!

If fucking up iconography is suddenly okay, you may as well get started on Bond films. Our hero now utilizes collaboration, inclusiveness, and mediation to negotiate with the baddies in order to create a win win scenario for all parties involved. Same outcome, after all. The James Bond character was brutal, violent, and liberally exercised his license to kill. How long before he's a dude with patches on his elbow talking about feelings? Is that where we're headed?

Caravans and Blow Guns

A recent exchange with someone on another blog left me with a new data point support my unoriginal assertion that those who are anti vax / anti mandate / anti everything that isn't a cheeto faced shit gibbon are getting their news from sources that don't just manipulate facts, but ignore them altogether. I've decided to take a stroll through one of these outlets and blow some shit up, so you don't have to.

In this instance, I was encouraged to read a story on Conservative-daily's website. This particular bit of news was how a leaked Department of Defense document stated that hospitalizations doubled after the vaccine was introduced. Scary, except it being bullshit. First, DOD doesn't track that shit, because they're the DOD and not the CDC NIH. Second, the supposedly leaked doc was nowhere be found on the site validate the story. My theory is said document only exists in the minds of those who publish the site. What I discovered to be a recurring theme was the use of this self-admitted inexperienced and non-expert attorney as an expert mouthpiece to give various claims more weight. This dude is all over the sight and I can't figure out why.

The lead story today is a standard whistle topic - the alleged migrant caravan heading the US border. Apparently, there's a leader of that caravan and he's 'declared war' on something. the record, this is the same caravan on which the dumb right's been sounding alarm bells about since cheeto face took office. Either that caravan doesn't exist of it's the slowest fucking thing ever. And in case one caravan doesn't sufficiently scare you, there's a story about a caravan of migrants from Africa now. Two fucking caravans heading our way. Yeah, sure there are.

Another awesome story covers how the left is casting aspersions and calling into question the outcome of the election audit in Arizona, performed by the brilliant folks of Cyberninjas. Not they're fucking not, because the audit found that not only did Biden win there, but by a larger margin than previously reported.

Of course, there's a story about how Mark Milley committed treason by having the same conversations with the Chinese that every damned one of his predecessors had.

Finally, there are a few stories near and dear to my heart, relating to guns. First is how Dems are trying to push Biden's ATF nominee through, despite objections from Republicans. Only problem with said story is the president withdrew that gun grabber from consideration several weeks ago.

The story on there is the one about the Biden administration banning imports of Russian ammunition and how horrible it is. First, it's not a complete ban, rather a halt on granting new licenses to import. Existing licenses will be left alone, preventing an interruption in supply. Second, the REAL conservative position on the subject would be to absolutely make it more difficult to buy ammo from our enemy, likely through higher tariffs, and engage with domestic suppliers to find out why they can't be competitive. To me, this dramatically illuminates these morons' agenda of not really being conservative, but doing everything they can to torpedo Biden and the Democrats. Ultimately, they give zero shits about conservative ideology.

I may have signed up to comment on that story...completely by accident, of course.

Oh wait, this thing is like herpes...it keeps on giving. The absolute story on there is about how the FDA is going to force vaccinations and use blow darts to carry them out. Until I hit that story, there was a part of me that wanted to give the ignorant some benefit of the doubt. But damn, you have to be a bit of a moron to buy that one. Blow darts!!!

Another in the Old Man Ranting Series.

Perhaps my motives are more base than those of other users of this site, although I doubt it, but I consider the videos said other users post be amateur porn. Real sex, if you will, published by exhibitionists. And some of those posted on this site are excellent in that respect and very . However, nothing disappoints me more than clicking on a promising video, be blasted with some stupid music (typically hip hop) that they've mixed in at ear bleed levels. Even worse is when they've run the video through some free editing software and incorporated EVERY fucking special effect in the package.

As stated in my previous rant on filters, it's not 'creative' at all the effects options on a piece of software and say 'yes'. 's incredibly unoriginal, dumb and, makes your content unwatchable. No one cares about anything beyond watching you have sex, unless you're boring or ugly, in which case, no one wants see your videos, period. The worst are the ones that build on abysmal video; dark, shaky, with no indication of what the 's going on.

Obviously, the above doesn't apply those edit in order conceal their identities. 's also one video I've come across that has a Motley Crue soundtrack, that remains the sole exception my assertions above. 's quite entertaining.

While we're on the subject of videos, perhaps someone could help with a quandary that has me vexed. The mods of this fantastic, well run website, free of fakes and good value for , denied a video I posted of a charming woman blissfully riding me orgasm. Their rationale was that I was not in the video. In reality, a part of me is present, but concealed. However, when I peruse those videos posted by others, I see hours upon hours of content that not doesn't contain the owner of the profile, but is copyrighted by someone else. This includes professional porn. The powers that be appear be perfectly fine supporting piracy and copyright violations, but won't allow my video that belongs me, be on their site. In my best Tucker Carlson voice (I hate that fucker), I wonder why that is?

A Lesson For All Of Us

While I tend gravitate toward Top Gun as a timeless story that helps me to understand and address any situation, 's another tale I find particularly useful, from a relationship perspective. While would have been more helpful post this while I was writing about my relationships and encounters, better late than never.

was once a man discovered a alligator in his back yard. Being an animal lover, he was afraid the poor thing would perish, being separated from its , so he took in and raised as a pet, naming Ricky. This man loved Ricky unconditionally and lavished him with attention. He gave Ricky and fed him the best alligator chow. In order for Ricky to feel like he was in its natural habitat, he had an enclosed lagoon built in his back yard, with a tub for when the gator was stressed. He was positive his love and these gestures got through to the now full grown alligator, suppressing the beast's natural predatory instinct.

One day, he was teaching Ricky how to fetch, when Ricky decided fetch him and mauled him death.

When the man awoke at the pearly gates, face face with Saint Peter, he was dumbfounded and heartbroken.

"I don't understand how this happened! I loved Ricky with all my heart and did everything I could demonstrate my affection. Yet, he mauled me death!"

Saint Peter responded, "What do you expect? He was an alligator and that's what alligators do, you dumb shit!"

The moral of the story is that regardless of how sincere and earnest your actions, you can't change the nature of another and can lose your head over it. Literally.

Perhaps some context would be of value here. This post has nothing to do with illegal aliens r1ping and pillaging. Not sure how anyone would make that leap, but that's a subject for another day. The first time I shared this story was during my divorce. True to her word, my borderline ex wife was pulling every underhanded trick she could to punish me for abandoning her. A couple of friends couldn't understand why I wasn't livid over her nasty stunts. My answer was that a borderline was like an alligator. Her brain was wired to hate me, so why get angry over something she couldn't control? have been other instances where this story has applied (e. others with abandonment issues) as well.

The Alpha Test - Part Deux?

Most women desire to partner with an alpha male; even those who may be alphas themselves. That's been proven over numerous studies and my own observations. Most men portray themselves as alphas, whether they use that term or not. While not universal, some women utilize the 'dinner test' to help identify those who really aren't. We've covered this before, but the short version is she'll ask what he wants to do for dinner and if he can't make a decision, even a poor one, he reveals himself as a non-alpha. I think I've identified another potential alpha test, but want to gather more input from the fairer sex before I memorialize it as such.

Let's set the stage for where I've observed this potential test taking place. It's a first or second date where things are going well and there's some high quality kissing taking place. Passion has ramped and the intoxication associated with kissing someone new is in full effect (I fucking love that.). Suddenly, mid smooch, the woman breaks away, her words indicating the night's festivities are over. At that point, the man has two choices. He can accept her word and part company or physically return her to the kissing. This has happened to me a number of times, but I'll share two examples that remain fresh in my mind, and how I responded to the situation.

The first was a second date with a woman (duh), who I'd cooked dinner for. We were pretty hot and heavy, various pieces of clothing having already been discarded, when out of nowhere, she stood up and said she has to go. Because wine was involved and I was in total lust, with her body language indicating reciprocation, I stood up and threw her back on the sofa, saying she wasn't going anywhere. On a side note, my actions were insanely out of character for me. I think the reason I became physical was she was giving off vibes that such actions would be welcome. Turns out I was correct, because when I sat back down, she was en fuego, straddling me as we resumed our passion. Fun night.

In another instance, for our first date, I met a woman at a local winery (Missouri wine, blech!) and things went well. Because I'm a gentleman, I walked her to her car, and because I found her attractive (and her body language indicated a reciprocal attraction), I kissed her goodnight. I found her kiss to be sufficiently enjoyable that I continued to kiss her. After a few minutes of this, again as the intoxication kicked in, she disengaged, said she had a great time, and turned to get in her car. I wasn't done kissing her at that point, so I grabbed her, spun her around, and threw another lip lock on her. This action was very well received and we engaged in a few more minutes of kissing, before parting ways the night.

Lest some think me a borderline bad person, there's one last key piece of information to share. In every instance where this has happened to me, my date's body language directly contradicted her words. In the second example, despite my date verbally disengaging and turning around, she didn't physically move to get into her car. When the first woman got off the sofa, stating it was time for her to leave, she stood within arm's reach. She also got up twice more, also staying within arm's reach and being forcibly tossed back onto the sofa, before I realized what she really wanted.

With those in mind, as well as other less memorable occasions I haven't shared, there emerges a clear trend. A connection is established, with physical interaction being desired by both parties. The woman disengages at what can be best described as a highly unusual stopping point. Her body language indicates she remains open for additional interaction. The male physically takes control of the woman and the physical interaction resumes in a more passionate manner, perhaps indicating that was her intent the whole time.

And so, we end where we began, with me asking for input from my female readers. How many of you have consciously engaged in such behavior? If so, for what purpose? Did you want him to take the same actions I did? For those of you who haven't, reflect on your entanglements and share if maybe you've done so unintentionally. Guys, feel free to share any similar experiences (that didn't wind up with you having to call an attorney). Any other input is welcome.

For the record, I do not endorse, condone a man forcing himself on a woman against her will, solely because of his wants. Those are not the actions of a real man. If you're unable to discern a woman's true intentions, with zero question, you stop when she says stop. Period. Oh, and get vaccinated, you dumb fuck.

Boring Barrel Update

You may remember my post from earlier this month, where I bitched about receiving a defective barrel for one of my rifles and the manufacturer being apathetic at best. Or you may not remember it; no one would blame you.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't post an update about this sort of thing, but today the manufacturer changed my mind. The super fast Readers Digest (does anyone remember that mag?) version is they received the obviously barrel on 9/2, but didn't bother to check it in until 9/9, at which point I received notification it would be inspected in 7-10 business days. No surprise, that window passed, so I decided to hammer them on social media over the weekend. They'd just posted something on insta and I replied with some unpleasant comments about their shit quality and zero fucks about customers. They asked for my RMA, which I provided, then responded it had been shipped last week. I asked for a tracking number, but they were done talking to me.

Fast forward to today, when I received a note from their zero personality customer service person, indicating the barrel shipped today. So, in addition to making garbage, they're liars. Had it just taken forever to get a replacement, I'd have chalked it up to their abysmal customer care, but lying to a customer on social media to conceal it...that's really beyond the pale.

Needless to say, I've shared their dearth of ethics with an appropriately wide audience.

In that same post, I also shared my extremely responsible and logical purchase of a long range precision rifle. I needed something to shoot! My motivation for that purchase was to be able to participate in my club's 600 yard shooting nights. The rifle that was down could have handled it, but...it was down. For some context, the farthest I've ever shot a gun was 300 yards, and that was only recently. So, this was a big step. So, last Wednesday, I loaded up my new rifle and joined the group. (Same one that agreed with vaccine mandates) The good news is I shot pretty well. There's some room for improvement, but that should be addressed with greater concentration. We have a target system that shows your hits, real time, on your phone, so after every shot, I picked my head up to see where I was hitting and to think 'I'm hitting a target over a third of a mile away!'. Neither of those actions are beneficial for accuracy.

I may have mentioned appropriating my parents' old person mobile (2010 Cadillac SUV) because after his head trauma, I don't trust my father to drive, much less learn a new area. In a word, this vehicle sucks. Again, I may have previously shared some of the infamous Generic Motors idiocy of design. My favorite is the parking aid suite. It has proximity sensors, front and rear, as well as a backup camera. Most cars do, these days. However, GM has gone to great lengths to make them mostly useless. Neither of these engages until you put the car in reverse, so don't pull into a spot counting on the sensors to keep you from bumping something. The camera not only takes four seconds to come on, leaving you dead in the water, but has the resolution of an Etch a Sketch.

Again, because it's a GM product, shit has obviously begun to break, despite the car only having 55k miles on it. The one that I'm trying to address at the moment is the windshield washer reservoir. I can't be sure whether it's the tank or something connected to it, but it will dump its entire contents on the driveway within hours of being topped off.

Those of us who've worked on cars will remember the washer fluid reservoir being right under the hood. I remember swapping the one out in the VW GTI I put two hundred thousand miles on. It was next to the engine on the driver's side and required the removal of three screws to pull it. That's not the case in this vehicle. Do you know where the reservoir is? It's in the damned fender. No, not next to the fender, but IN IT. Accessing the tank requires the removal of a wheel and the protective skirting in the wheel well. It may require more, but that's all I could uncover online.

And, because fuck my life, I jacked up the car, placed a jack stand (for safety), grabbed by impact gun, and promptly discovered one of the batteries is toast (the one in the charger) and the other needed to be charged. One might suggest me to be lazy, not removing the lug nuts manually. However, the only shops I've encountered that torque them properly are those that service exotics, which a Caddy is not. Those nuts were tightened using the tighten the fuck out of them with an air gun method and removal sans power tools will fuck you up. Been there, done that.

I may or may not report back, once I have the car in pieces...

Vaccine Mandates - Not Tyranny

Hey you! Yeah, you...turn off Tucker for a moment and listen up. I bet you're singing along with that whiny little hypocritical shithead that vaccine mandates are tyranny and interfere with your freedoms. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you lack access to actual data, only receive Fox and OAN and that you're not willfully ignorant.

The bottom line is that vaccine mandates aren't tyranny, no matter what you hear from the right wing media. Worth mentioning is Fox, OAN, and all the other toxic bullshit factories have vaccination mandates for their employees. If your friend Tucker really believed what he was saying about mandates being tyranny, you'd think he'd be raging against his employer. But he isn't. I wonder why that is?

I like data, so let's move on to the numbers. They're big ones, but I've done my best to simplify them so you'll understand.
There have been six hundred eighty thousand total deaths in the US due to Covid. Of the one hundred sixty plus million who've been fully vaccinated, there have been one thousand four hundred deaths. That number represents less than one percent of those who've been vaccinated. LESS THAN ONE PERCENT!!! Oh, there were over two thousand deaths from Covid, just yesterday; you can guess how many were vaccinated.

The vaccine is effective and has saved thousands of lives; it's also FDA approved, so cross that objection off your list.
I know what you're thinking - it's still tyranny to force people to get vaccinated. You're standing up to be dumb enough to avoid getting jabbed, get the virus, and die in your mobile home. Trust me, if the virus only impacted the willfully ignorant, I'd be fighting alongside you, defending your right to demonstrate natural selection at work. If only it worked that way.

The vaccine is effective against the current variants, but viruses mutate as they're spread around, until they morph into a variant the vaccine can't defend against. This is why you need a flu shot every year; to protect from the latest mutations. Ultimately, the spread by the unvaccinated will allow Covid to mutate into one of those variants that the current vaccine can't fight and we'll be back to square one. Those who remain ignorant and unvaccinated are lengthening the pandemic and making it more difficult to fight.

Even with the current variants, stupid mother fuckers like you are winding up in ICU's hand over fist and are taking beds that are needed for those whose conditions weren't preventable with a fucking shot. There have been dozens of accounts where someone having a major cardiac issue or something equally critical have either wound up dying for lack of a bed or had to be transported several hundred miles away from home, because that's where the closest empty bed was located.

You and those like you have blood on your hands from the deaths you cause every damned day you remain unvaccinated. These deaths are your fault, Fudd.

Do employers really have the right to mandate vaccinations? Damn skippy they do, for two main reasons. First, they pay your fucking health insurance and the costs go through the roof when they have a bunch of dumb fucks get sick from Covid, not to mention lost productivity because your dumb ass isn't working. More importantly, they have a legal obligation to provide their employees with a safe working environment. A bunch of spreaders running around is the opposite of safe. The Federal government is the largest employer in the US and are subject to the same shit as other employers. So is your corner coffee shop, hotel, and every other business you infect by walking into every day.

In summary, neither you nor I have the personal freedom to kill those around us by spreading a deadly virus. Not much different than walking around with an open jar of anthrax.

Finally, the above also applies to mask mandates. Those of you who decry such measures in schools because you know what's best for your are killing them too.

Update - Tonight (9/22) I went to my club to participate in some group long range precision rifle. As one can imagine, a rifle club in Kansas is right wing heaven. I was chatting with a couple other club members and someone else brought up the topic of vaccine mandates. I immediately began to think of soft ways to explain why they were necessary, but never needed them, because the consensus was that they were. One club member thought they were a bit of tyranny, but necessary none the less.
There you have it; a bit more insight on those you'd least expect to be on board.

Since beginning to use the app (off and on), I've found myself in two situations where the interaction ended in a less than amicable manner. In both cases, I had reached my limit of 'what I'm willing to tolerate for some boom boom' and metaphorically dropped anchor in terms of further entertaining the behavior being exhibited by the other party. And in both cases, the other party fired off a 'fuck you' note and unmatched with me. However, I admit to having no real insight into the content of their messages, since unmatching deletes the entire conversation and I never saw them. Thus, they weren't actually able to get in the last word or parting shot.

Therefore, the takeaway should be that if you feel the need to fire a last shot and get in the last word on Tinder, wait a few hours to ensure the other party has time to read your fuck you. Of course, that deprives you the pleasure of unmatching and making that person go away. Your revised takeaway is you can't have it all.

Under the heading of pleasant surprises, earlier today, I'd been trading notes with a woman who went into full bitch mode and I called her out on it. There were notifications of additional messages from her, but for the reasons above, I didn't bother looking for them for a bit. The pleasant surprise was that the message she sent included an apology for being bitchy.
