We tried the new margarita recipe last night and were settling in for more TV. I've watched more TV in the last six months than at any time since I was a . I stumbled across an romcom from 2007 called Because She Said So. It had some actors in it that I like, so what the hell.
Part of the plot is the mother decided she is going to search online for a guy for her youngest . The mother is new computers and fumbling a bit. She starts clicking through the dating sites that came up in her search engine. We hear her say something the effect of, "fbookhookups.com, she needs an adult friend. This sounds good."
The mother clicks on the link and her eyes grow big as she sees the content. We then hear what is obviously a video of a couple really going at it. The camera cuts a view of the computer screen, with a very accurate version of the fbookhookups.com home page circa 2007.
The mother panics and is trying mute the sound or leave the site just as the telephones her. She throws a shawl or sheet over the monitor which her big golden retriever pulls off. The then proceeds hump the ottoman.
It was a pretty funny scene. My wife was clearly entertained. I was laughing too, but with an entirely different level of understanding.
